Little Bird Candles and Creations
Little Bird Candles & Creations was founded in 2019 when we were busy making hypertufa planters for our patio. Some of the bowls were so pretty that we thought “hey wouldn’t a candle look great in this?”
The next thing you know we were molding a variety of unique containers for our wide assortment of beautifully scented candles. Little Bird candle containers make excellent pots for succulent plants once the candle is finished.
We are proud to call north Georgia our home and offer a line of candle scents that pay tribute to some of the agricultural specialties in our region, pine forestry, cotton and of course peaches.
Jerry and I love to explore and experiment with all types of artistic expression and while we primarily make candles and other wax products, we also create original paintings in both oil and acrylic.
God has blessed us with work that allows us to create items that enrich and beautify the homes of our customers and in this small way add charm to the world we live in. May God keep you and bless you as he has us.

Little Bird’s story
It was spring and I was busy searching for a mate and foraging for dinner when I came across a feeder full of my favorite nuts, seeds and meal worms. It was in the backyard of one of those giant nesting boxes that humans build; there were plenty of other birds there so I guessed it was safe from cats, a bird can’t be too careful when it comes to cats.
I stayed there all afternoon, singing in the nearby trees and helping myself to the free food but just before dusk a thunderstorm rolled in and I began looking for a place to shelter. I noticed there was an opening in the big nest box and I swooped inside.
There were strange things inside, not like a tree at all but there was no wind or rain so I perched on a long, silver, branch like thing where I could see everything below and took a nap.
The human woke me up when he touched something by the big opening and it slowly closed. He didn’t seem to notice me so I settled in and spent the rest of the night on my protected perch. The next morning when the sun came up, I flew around where the opening had been, looking for a way out but there wasn’t one.
Again, the human came and pressed the same spot as yesterday and the opening slowly appeared. This time the human saw me and made that odd call ha ha ha that they make when they are happy.
I flew out but every evening, for the rest of the summer, I returned to the big nest box and slept secure from harm.
And every morning, when the big opening appeared, I flew out to take care of all my important bird business. I heard the humans liked sharing their nest box (they called it a garage) with me so much that they named their candle business after me.
